HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N

If you experience burning errors with CDBurnerXP, it is most likely a drive incompatibility. Post your problem here then. It might take longer until these errors are fixed since they are not under our control.

I'm having an Acer Aspire 5930G Notebook with this drive built-in.

The drive is not even found by CDBurnerXP ... it's simply not listed, so I'm totally unable to use it. :(

The drive itself works correctly with Nero and the Vista Burning plugin. So it's not defect. :!:

Hello all,

I have the same problem on a laptop Packard Bell Laptop Easynote TN65 , the dvd drive is also a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N .

The microsoft support solution doesn't work for this issue ! :(

It seems that a lot of people have troubles with this drive on different laptops (Asus, Packard Bell etc...) so please could someone remove this model from the "compatible drives" list (http://cdburnerxp.se/fr/testeddrives?lang=en)

I am having the same problem. My computer is a Toshiba QOSMIO and it wont read discs. It has a symbol like this :!: over its picture when you go into System-Device manager-DvD/CD-ROM drivers+.
It also has this comment when you go into its properties.
*Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)*

What has happened and how can it be fixed?
If you know please let me know.
Thanks.

This is the worse driver ever!!!!! same problem here and i cannot even connect an external drive cause it also shows up code 39, in order to fix it i have to pay an additional $25 through this support thing online and i don't think is fair cause so many of us are having the same problem and this should be free but you all know what is all about......$$$$.
