Looking for new mirror

Postby Flo » Wed Nov 21, 2007 6:44 am

Hi guys.

Our current main download mirror needs to be removed, so we need a new one. Please let us know if you can provide us with a few MB space accessible per FTP. You should have plenty of bandwidth though. Our previous mirror had quite some traffic upon release of CDBXP, so I'd say 500GB per month should be available.
Thanks in advance :)

Update: We already found a mirror, thanks to sdkester.

Regards,
Flo

I know this hoster and in fact use it (not for CDBXP though). The traffic conditions are unusable for CDBXP.

Hi Flo,

why don't you use Bittorrent for redistribution too? Loads of ppl have a torrent client already set up or even integrated in their browser. This would help you save traffic for sure :o)

Uuuh, wow. Well, yes... no. To be honest: I think you should put the torrent link on the front page. It is _way_ too hidden :)
Or change the download link on the front page to redirect to the downloadpage. At the moment it's unlikely many ppl will discover the link.
I wonder how many ppl have discovered the torrent link in total because there are only 97 seeds :o

edit: the quote function does not work properly, as you can see :P

I don't know if it'll help or not since you already have a mirror now, but I went ahead and mirrored the setup file for you on my site.
I actually didn't want to deal with my site anymore since I had no use for it, so I went ahead and terminated my service, thing is that MediaTemple isn't going to cancel it til the 27th of January, so if you guys want, you can use my mirror as a temporary mirror to save some of sdkesters bandwidth if you want?
I have 1Tb of bandwidth, so it shouldn't run out to fast.
Anyways if you want it, here it is: http://sndownz.com/cdbxp_setup_4.0.022.370.exe

I wonder why it's so much in Feb. There weren't particulary more visitors on the website...
