  1. Please check the ID3 tags of the MP3 files. File names don't really matter much.
  2. It means that you are trying to burn 174 minutes of audio to a regular 80 min disc. There is no type of audio disc that would allow you to burn this large amount of audio.
  3. Please post which exact error you are getting (preferably screenshot).
  4. We'll have another update some time I guess, there is nothing too urgent though.
  5. CDBurnerXP will convert all files as necessary before burning them as audio disc. So you should not have to take care of that yourself.
  6. The error code basically says "no data", which is probably caused by not adding any data to the disc using CDBurnerXP. It doesn't have a "finalize only" feature. But you can check the disc information window to find out if the disc is indeed not finalized. After 20 years your discs might also have become unusable. Since DVD+R are not particularly uncommon, the situation you describe might be an indiciation for this having happened. Again, you can use the disc information window to determine whether any data can still be detected on the disc. If you look for more permanent storage options, have a look at M-Disc or cloud storage.
  7. Is there a particular file that is always affected by the issue?
  8. The command line version won't be able to do it if the GUI can't. I suppose a lack of error handling leads to this issue. I would recommend converting the files to a different format with a suitable application.
  9. You try to burn files that don't fit on a DVD-R, so you need to use a BD.
  10. In this case you probably have no burning device available at all. Depending where you are in the application, you would usually have a combo box with all devices available for selection.
  11. The burning library changed quite a few years ago (don't remember when exactly) so if you had the issue before the change, then it is most likely fixed.
  12. Actually, I have: https://github.com/canneverbe/Ketarin
  13. Not sure how old you need. You can check this link for very old ones https://cdburnerxp.se/downloads/releases/4.5/ Or this one: https://download.cdburnerxp.se/
  14. At this point there is not much I can add to the software because nowadays even the underlying burning libraries are nonger under development, so it's hard to make any progress in this regard. I will make bug fixes whenever possible, but I'm not aware of any reproducible isses right now.
  15. What you are seeing is completely normal. In VLC, did you try Media --> Open Media from the menu?
  16. CDA is what you should expect when burning audio discs, this is completely normal. These discs should play fine in actual audio CD players. You should also be able to play them on your computer. If it doesn't work, maybe your file association with CDA is wrong, you should try to open the audio disc from within the media player application to play the disc.
  17. It should not take this long indeed. Hard to tell why it's happening for you though.
  18. CDBurnerXP does not provide "ripping" functionality (there are better tools for this purpose) but you can drag and drop CDA files to new audio compilations to compile a new audio disc from multiple existing audio discs.
  19. This might happen if file names get too long, UDF would be a better choice for this case. It's not the default setting though since there have been compatibility issues with UDF.
  20. In case of data discs (includes MP3 discs), you cannot change the order of tracks.
  21. Will add these options to the menu in the next version!
  22. Since MP3 discs are data discs and don't really have an order in the file system, it's hard to randomize them. You could prefix the file names with a random piece of text. A randomization option is only available for audio discs.
  23. Sorry that it took way longer than intended, but at least it works. Thanks for the feedback
