  1. Yes, UDF file system would be the preferred file system for burning files like that. Please give it a try.
  2. The setup package is fine if you can verify the digital signature. You probably need to download a version without "installCore" from the download page in order to silence Avira.
  3. Did you try other burning applications as well?
  4. Please check this document: https://cdburnerxp.se/help/appendices/troubleshooting
  5. I don't think there is much CDBurnerXP which CDBurnerXP does and could cause such issues. I could only imagine the admin drive access to be relevant. In this case you would have to delete StarOpen.sys from the Windows system / drivers directory.
  6. Check Disc -> file system in the menu.
  7. Is it still missing if you connect the drive before you start CDBurnerXP? Usually it shouldn't have any issues with recogniszing portable drives.
  8. So what exactly is the problem with 4 KB of missing zero bytes?
  9. OK I will add a "-writeonly" flag for the next version so you can filter these devices.
  10. Click here: https://cdburnerxp.se/downloadsetup.exe
  11. Do you need to find out programmatically? Otherwise it's usually quite easy to check which devices are read-only.
  12. Do you burn these discs using the UDF file system?
  13. You can check the changes between versions here: https://cdburnerxp.se/en/development XP is still supported. You don't have to update if it is working fine for you. You can use either installer, you don't have to agree installing 3rd party apps. Easiest is using the auto-updating feature. You can try different file systems for compatibility reasons, yes. Most likely your home DVD player needs UDF.
  14. You can either use existing image files as cover (first option) or create your own cover image with a few basic options (second option). CDBurnerXP does not currently extract cover artwork from the MP3 files (I think the resolution is too low anyway) and also doesn not have support for online cover image databases.
  15. I never burned one myself, but it should work.
  16. Seems to work fine for me, can you tell me what error you get and which download link you use?
  17. If you get it in both versions, your antivirus application is just reporting a false positive. Nothing I can do about that.

    cd play problem

What kind of discs do you burn? Audio or data (MP3)? If the latter, which file system did you use when burning?
  19. Not usually. Some hardware configurations may cause issues though. If that actually helps, you might want to try installing and using the SPTD drivers.
  20. Can you check if this version makes any difference? https://daily.cdburnerxp.se/4.5/minimal/cdbxp_setup_4.5.8.6830_minimal.exe If so, I need to think of a proper solution.
  21. Thanks, will be included in the next version.
  22. Does any of this help? https://cdburnerxp.se/help/appendices/troubleshooting
  23. I know, but unfortunately this issue is not under my control. StarBurn promised to work on this issue a long time ago but they didn't finish it yet and also need to work on other bugs. I still want this fixed so I'll continue annoying StarBurn about it.
  24. That is strange, the conversion should work the same way on your PC as it does on mine. Are you using the ReplayGain volume adjustment in CDBurnerXP?
