  1. The command should list all drives. Not sure what "attached" drives are, if you mean USB devices, these should work just as well.
  2. AV applications nowadays do whatever they please so it's reasonable to only use throw away-domains for distributing executable files. In my particular case the URL is fixed though. I am not using their "distribution network" so I control which domains are used and they don't change every day. In fact I only changed them once so far.
  3. There was only one dead link which I fixed, but that wasn't related to your question.
  4. It's just a random domain name that hosts an ad which is shown before downloading. It's not always displayed though and might just work like a direct download link. I didn't decide the domain names being used, the advertisement server is not under my control. It may beem a bit strange but is completely harmless.
  5. Actual attackers, sure. But there aren't any so I'm not quite sure what your concern is currently.
  6. Which file system did you select for burning the disc?
  7. CDBurnerXP doesn't know which version is installed. However, it will always download the minimal version because no ads will be shown during upgrade anyway.
  8. It should use the same drive letters. What makes you think otherwise?
  9. Did you check the disc after restarting your computer?
  10. Can you send me the error log located at %appdata%\Canneverbe Limited\CDBurnerXP\Errors.log?
  11. No, and it's not going to happen at this point.
  12. There isn't any trojan virus in the setup.
  13. Temp files are not really unusual. You may want to try the setup without installCore at https://cdburnerxp.se/en/download (more downloads).
  14. Thanks, hopefully this will help fixing the issue now.
  15. I would still need a proper log file. I created a new version which uses a more moderate logging level and should work fine. https://daily.cdburnerxp.se/4.5/minimal/cdbxp_setup_4.5.7.6673_minimal.exe Would be great if you could try to make a log file with this version.
  16. So it hangs basically. You might want to try an updated version of the burning library with this version, maybe it's already fixed: https://daily.cdburnerxp.se/4.5/minimal/cdbxp_setup_4.5.7.6668_minimal.exe
  17. I had a little chat with StarBurn and made a few changes in regard to refreshing disc information. Please try this new version: https://daily.cdburnerxp.se/4.5/minimal/cdbxp_setup_4.5.7.6668_minimal.exe (If it still doesn't work, log file would be appreciated.)
  18. That's unfortunate. Can you provide me with a new log file for this version?
  19. For relibably checking if it's working fine, you should probably disable logging because it is quite resource intensive.
  20. I don't think there is any deception. If you find any proof for that, feel free to show me. I won't let them get away with that. The CDBurnerXP installer uses opt-in choices only, so you cannt accidentially install additional software. No. You make it sound simple, but it's not.
  21. StarBurn has finally provided a new version. Can anyone please confirm if it is working? https://daily.cdburnerxp.se/4.5/minimal/cdbxp_setup_4.5.7.6663_minimal.exe
  22. What does "crash" mean? Any error messages? If it's a real crash, can you send me the Windows event log information for the crash occurrence?
