  1. Small incoherency found in (English) resources: Time format displayed in label: Afterwards a friendly value is used: Issue observed in version "4.0.022.370".
  2. When opening a previous compilation format (generated by version 3.0.116) an error was shown (modified screenshot attached). The error displayed makes me wonder if backwards-compatibility is broken... If you want the community to massively upgrade to version 4.x, please remind that older compilation files will keep being opened. In my opinion, there should be an effort to keep backwards-compatibility - I give Microsoft's example for most Window 3.x application still running OK in Windows XP! I guess only an import feature is needed: format probably can upgraded during open/save operations without too much hassle, that is, I guess loading a file in format 3.0.116 and saving the same file as 4.x isn't a problem and also helps users upgrading program version - although this is a slightly aggressive way!
  3. Here is the screen shot for fifth attempt... Hope the whole post can be as useful as the time it took to make all these experiments and explaining this reasonably... I can give more details about my hardware and/or audio CD contents - just request (although a simple reply to this post can be made, please send me a PM also in that case). Best regards, Helder Magalhães
  4. Multiple issues observer during audio CD record. All attempts consisted in (trying to or effectively) burning 3 MP3 tracks, about 25 minutes each. First time, a crash occurred during burn process (about 30%). This happened while using track at once (TAO). Note: attachment contains also process properties to where is visible that exception thrown stopped disk recording (I/O activity stops). This was obtained using Process Explorer, my Task Manager replacer and a great tool for developers (no, I don't get paid for writing this! I just like to spread good tools and practices... ) Second time, an error occurred while closing last track. Third time, an unknown error ocurred Forth time, I was Finally able to record the disc - DAO (Disk At Once) was selected this time (as an experiment). Fifth time, I tried to burn using TAO again. An LBA issue occurred. (I wasn't able to attach the screen shot for this one - due to 3 files per post limit. Will upload in a separate post). Sixth time, DAO was selected (again). The process (again) completed successfully, therefore I conclude the random issues are probably due to the TAO mode or to incompatibility with my drive (an LG DVD+RW - "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B vA103").
  5. Forgot to mention version, sorry. This symptom happens (at least) in version 4.0.013.220 (first official release of version 4).
  6. Currently there's an issue in the "Erase" button/menu and "Erase Disc" dialog. If "Quick Erase" is selected in the "Erase" button/menu, then a "Full Erase" will be preselected (and performed) when the "Erase Disc" dialog opens, and the way around (when "Full Erase" is selected, then a "Quick Erase" will be performed). My guess is that this is an event mix up, rather than a simple resource exchange: "Quick Erase" and "Full Erase" appear in the expected order in the "Erase" button/menu ("Quick Erase" comes first). Just erased a CD-RW about 5-6 times trying to figure this out...
  7. This occurs whenever, during program startup, I select Audio or Data compilation. Canceling the dialog and using the equivalent tool bar option has exactly the same effect. I'm experiencing these exceptions during startup in both my home PC and work PC. Already submitted exceptions in the home PC, due to the (great) reporting feature, but I'm not able to submit reports from work as the network requires proxy support (not implemented by the reporting tool). The machine is an ASUS T2-P (Pentium IV 3.0 GHz), which has a LG DVD-R recorder. Operating system is (an updated version of) Windows XP Pro English (5.1.2600, SP2). Not sure if I re-tested with most recent (4.0.011.170) version but at least 4.0.0.10.128 was tried. So here goes: Crash: (not able to report directly because report tool doesn't support proxy configuration) Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {B162A975-6C7C-4202-9167-306028913A3D} failed due to the following error: 80040154. at CDBurnerXP_Pro.frmAudioCompilation..ctor(CDNotify CDNoti) at CDBurnerXP_Pro.mdiMain.ShowMenuForm() at CDBurnerXP_Pro.mdiMain.mdiMain_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.EventHandler.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at CDBurnerXP_Pro.mdiMain.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
  8. The one I believe is more noticeable is the desktop image (shown, for example, when canceling a Data/Audio compilation during startup, for example). Generally, most icons main toolbar icons seem to suffer from this symptom. This shows a lot more when using a LCD monitor and you are viewing slightly aside (it has the effect of a brutal contrast increase, which pulls out most JPEG and other image artifacts to sight).
  9. Start Menu location preference is discarded. If the "CDBurnerXP" start menu items aren't located in "Programs" directly - for example put inside "Accessories" - will erroneously appear directly in "Programs" (i.e. while should appear in "Accessories/CDBurnerXP"). Issue observed in beta version "4.0.009.98" setup. Helder Magalhães
  10. Issue: [*:c28a0]Options / Data Options [*:c28a0]"Dragging an single (...)" --> "Dragging a single (...)" Suggestions: [*:c28a0]Burning / Progress tab [*:c28a0]"Burning speed changed to (...)" --> "Burning speed set to (...)" [*:c28a0]Options / General Settings [*:c28a0]"Exit to notify panel" --> "Exit to system tray"
  11. Issues observed in beta version "4.0.009.98" with patch "4.0.0.10.128" applied: [*:f516a]Print preview uses old style icons. This is somehow incoherent with current theme. [*:f516a]Desktop image (blue gradient with folding effect top left) uses very low quality JPEG - one can observe gradient low smoothness and also a visual issue immediately next to the folding effect: a vertical oriented rectangle appears, slightly different from the remaining gradient (maybe a JPEG encoding problem). Using PNG format instead is recommended. [*:f516a]Icons generally seem to suffer from JPEG artifacts. Using PNG format instead is recommended.
  12. I'm currently translating an updated version (pt-PT, "Português de Portugal"). It's based in English's most recent version available (at this date). If anyone wants to give a hand to translate, test or even simply read the file to find any typos, please let me know. Regards, Helder Magalhães
  13. Hi! I'm willing to support to the project by contributing with the standard Portuguese (pt-PT) translation. I take the opportunity to congratulate you for the project. I've found minor issues I'll report when I have the chance, but overall it's very stable and usable since the first minute. Best regards, Helder Magalhães
