  1. This has been discussed before, but I can't find a solution that works for me. The drop down menu says, No Compatible Drives. And the bottom left hand corner says, No Disc. But, the drive is working perfectly. I can burn using Roxio, but I hate that software and want to change. Any idea how I can make CDBurnerXP recognize my drive? Drives are as follows: (from Belarc) HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDRH20N ATA Device [CD-ROM drive] PLDS DVD+-RW DH-16A6S ATA Device [CD-ROM drive] Thanks. D.
  2. My problem is solved and this is how I did it. The solution may only apply to some of you. I am using a DELL Dimension 9150 with Windows XP Pro. Here's what I did. 1. Go to Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager/IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers 2. Right click on Primary IDE Channel. Click on the Advanced tab. Now, Tranfer Mode should say, "DMA if available" and Current Transfer mode should say, "Ultra DMA Mode 2". If they do not, then try the following: 1. Right click on Primary IDE Channel and choose "Uninstall". 2. Restart the computer. Windows will automatically reins
  3. Same here. For the last six months CDBurnerXP has been taking about 15-20 minutes to burn a DVD, including verification time. Today, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes. Something has gone very, very wrong. Was there an automatic update that has screwed things up? If so, can I roll back to a previous version? Or might there be something else causing this? I burn dozens of DVDs every week (I'm a professional photographer) and this is a nightmare. Thanks. D.
