  1. As what Droarm says. It seems like it is the Asmedia SATA Controller Driver that causes the problem. I installed the latest Asmedia Driver from Asus to my Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard just to try and CDBurnerXP doesn't crash anymore when having any disc(s) inserted. Finaly it works properly.
  2. Nice. Got the feeling that this issue can be something else since I changed both Asus DVD-burners to Samsung's SH-224 FB and the situation persist in the same way. Hopes this info helps.
  3. Well, what do you know. It's the same sort of problem I once tried to explain earlier and the problem is still not fixed for some strange reason. Still using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
  4. Well, I tried it now and it works. For some strange reason it didn't the other days. Probably a little glitch on Windows or something like that.
  5. When I choose Audio Disc there is a little Audio Player window to listen to the songs, but it doesn't seem to work whatever I do.
  6. Is it when you have a disc inserted that it won't show up?
  7. Well, can tell you it hasn't. Still crashes and the HDD-lamp is still on constantly and I cannot either shutdown or restart the computer without having pressing on the reset-button.
  8. I'm glad that someone at least can confirm this. I was in the believe that it was the DVD-ROM Drivers itself that caused this problem since it didn't happen before.
  9. It didn't. Still persist. My guess is that it seems to be a DVD-ROM problem itself.
  10. Hm... just tried the cdbxp_setup_4.5.6.5925 and the problem is still the same.
  11. Hope they'll find something.
  12. Ok. The message appears when I follow step 3: Search for “UseSPTD=0” in the file and replace the “0” with “1”.
  13. I use the latest as much as possible. I do use the latest version that came out now and the problem still persists. But I'm running Windows 7.
  14. I tried it now. All I get is an error message saying this: The StarBurn burning engine could not be initialised. CDBurnerXP will not work. Make sure that CDBurnerXP is installed properly, re-install if necessary. If you are using bla bla bla..... Error details: Exception from HRESULT: 0x800402A7
  15. What I am trying to say is that I have 2 internal DVD-burners (Asus DRW-24B5ST / DRW-24F1ST) and when I have a DVD movie/serie inserted in one of them and I want to burn something on the other one and I start CDBurnerXP, the program doesn't respond/start at all and completely hangs up and the HDD-lamp is on constantly. And there is no way to terminate it. The only way is to restart the computer (by force), take out the DVD movie/serie and be sort of free for any inserted disc(s) in both drives to make it work. It has been doing this for a quite while. In other words: CDBXP completely crashes when there is a CD/DVD inserted in one or both drives when you want to start it. But it doesn't crash when you have a burnable disc inserted or when both drives are free for any discs.
