During update - unknown startup file detected

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I went to burn a CD.
Got message  .. new update available.
OK, I did the update.

WinPatrol program detected a new boot time startup program (see my attached screenshot).

I did not know what it was .. possibly a virus during CDburner update?

So I ended up deleting 3 files in the main Windows folder that began with the unknown name:  is-2vrh3.exe.

Is this actually part of your program update?

My CDburnerXP current version now v 4.5.6.5844
Is this correct?

In Windows folder I deleted this stuff:
is-2vrh3.exe/reg/regsvrmode

Thanks ,
von

I don't know anything about this file. Could be a temporary file, though the location seems a bit odd. If you upload the file somewhere I can have a look at it.
