DVD-Writer doesn't work with Data-Burning Programs

Recommended Posts

Hejsan!

I'm really desperate now, and have no idea anymore:

Got a fresh W2k system, got a Nec ND 2500A writer. And here's the problem:

nero 6 crashes the whole system, when inserting a dvd

nero 5 crashes on writing a dvd

cd burner xp doesn't crash, but gives the following error before not burning:

Writing Error:(3) Error occurred writing data to disc. A NT disc I/O operation failed (1054). Error Sense Data: SENSE KEY: FF ASC: 0 ASCQ: 57

Burn4Free just doesn't start burning.

BUT: CloneCD, CloneDVD, MagixVideo deluxe and Magix MusicStudio DO burn without any problem!!!

I really haven't got the smallest idea what that could mean!

Can't be the drive, as I already checked three different drives with about the same results...

Hope here's someone around to give me a hint.

Det tog nästan tre veckor av "Try and Error" hittils och jag orkar nästan inte längre.

Hejsålänge,

honkeytonk

Hi!

I 've checked tow drives of the same model and another one of LG Hitachi (4120B I think).

Well, this is quite wired. If OS and the drive can't be the problem (because you tried different drives and the OS is 'fresh' as you say), maybe the problem is another hardware component. If I had those problems, I would check my motherbord/cables (BIOS update?) first, but I really can't tell you if that is your problem or not
