Writing Error: (3) Error occurred writing to disk

Writing error of unknown origin (1005)

Error Sense data: SENSE KEY: 3 ASC: C ASCQ: 0

eh?

On Windows XP SP 2, all patches.

I can only occaisionally write via Windows Explorer too - so I'm not blaming CDBurnerXP Pro.. This software at least generated an error message (incomprehensible to me..), so someone might be able to tell me what I need to look at to get it fixed.

Drive type is 52x24x52 but I get these errors even if I force burns down at 24x speed.

HELP.. I've gone through a box of CD's so far with no usable results.

Graham

Did you also try some additional software apart from the windows one?

No I haven't. I rarely burn CD's, but I though I'd better back up my system. Looks like it is more difficult than I though ;-)
