Writing Error: (3)

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hello

I get the following error rying to burn a 2GB Norton Ghost backup file onto a DVD+RW with 3.0.116 on a NEC 3500.

"Writing Error: (3) Error occured writing data to disc.

A NT disc I/O operation failed (1054).

Error Sense Data: SENSE KEY: FF ASC: 0 ASCQ: 79"

The DVD is connected via USB2 in a Belkin enclosure.

Any suggestions welcome.

:)

Me again. I posted this thread but didn't realise I wasn't logged in.

I reconnected the DVD writer directly to a USB2 port on the PC instead of going through a hub. Two burns have been OK so far.

:)

I've been getting that same error, for cds and dvds, on my pioneer 107d in an external usb2.0 case. Unfortunately for me, mine's connected directly to the computer, not a usb hub, so your solution isn't going to work for me I'm afraid. Other software works with it, just no cdburnerxppro right at the moment :-(
