user permission problems

Recommended Posts

Guest onkelhotte

i use win xp pro sp2 and im logged in as a normal user. when i want to install cdburner, i have to use runas so the setup has enough rights for installing, thats ok, since its supposed to be like that.

but it looks like the program uses registry places or folders that arent accessible for a normal user. so you always have to start the program with runas.

ps.: a good workaround is to change the usergroup of your user to admin for install and then change it back to normal user.
