Windows Cotext Menu

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm a new user to your fourm, and even to your program. I am evaluating you program to replace multi programs that I use for different reasons. One feature that I would love to see is having a context menu from the windows explorer. An example of this can be found from one of your competitors.

Burn4free (www.burn4free.com) offers this feature and a few others that would help you guys out.

Here is a screen shot of something that is usefull

//-- Image Start --//

http://www.newplanetit.191.it/burn4free ... e4_big.gif

-- Open it in new browser..

//-- Image End --//

Now if you could include this feature, and the others discribed in this fourm.

I don't like "cotext menus" & Explorer - huge chaos in Registry,

impossible or difficult to install, Bugs, Bugs, Bugs and nobody

can fix them ...

how can can it be, gee all you need to use command line switches like

"cdbuner.exe -a -d %1" to add (-a) a set of files (%1) to a Data Cd (-d)

I mean perhaps if they were to re-invent the wheel, and Use c++ or c sharp as a programming language, it would be easier. But either case, since you posted only 2 Post, and your classed as a newbie then perhaps we should leave the opinions to that of the developers.?

9812713 did not understand my comment. [V]

I did NOT say that complicated command lines are better than

GUI, but that "cotext menus" are buggy (lines appear (from

programms uninstalled long time ago [?]), disappear,

or double and nobody knows why, many people complain about this !!!)

- system shown here seems to be an exception -

and are not really needed.

"cotext menus" should be not present, or only optional.

I already used a lot of PCs and never had such problems. I don't know what you do with your PC, but that is not usual.

Every program has context menus, they are important in most cases. You don't have to use them if you don't want to. You can even disable the right-click if you want...

Sorry Zenel, for the remark that sounds like I'm telling you that you are wrong.

And I believe Ledyba is correct when they mentioned this...

BTW i didn't found where i can remove some useless files from folder. May be it could be solved by making treeview of files or by context menu?

P.S. Sorry for my english.

What about that:

Maybe some of you know the html-editor Phase5. This Editor (and much other programs) has the option to implement plugins, so options like the one mentioned in this threat can be easyly upgraded by downloading the propper plugin. Also, the file size of the main program can be redused, because you can choose just to download the program with the abilitys you need for your issues.

But after some time you will have a big plugin section on the website and it will be hard to find the plugins you need.

Not sure I see what you mean.

Why should you need a plugin to have simple context access to the program? Hence you don't even have to open the program until you are actually selecting the files you wish to burn. Highlight/right click/select burn...off you go. Where is a downside to that?
