Can't See Data Files On Boot CD

Recommended Posts

I'm having the same problem. I'm sure it that I just don't understand how to make a bootable CD correctly.

I want to create a bootable CD for Memtest86 (to test RAM Memory - and it has to run as a boot disk). The instructions say, "To build a boot-able CD-ROM use your CD burning software to create an image from the un-zipped ISO file. Be sure to use a create from image option. DO not simply copy the file to a CD. "

I have the ISO file and want to "create" the image and make the CD bootable. I think I set all the options correctly and the CD did burn, but there appears to be nothing on the disk.

Shouldn't I see either the ISO image or another file with a "img" extension on the disk?

Thanks
