Writing onlt the changed files

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have tried CDCurner XP today. On my rewritable I dargged dropped a small folder which will have files that change during the day.

I wrote the first session on the CD, that was fine.

2nd session on the Cd wrote all the files in this folder though none of them had changed.

Is it possible to write to the Cd only the files that have changed, added and remove optionally the delete files.

Please advise.

Regards

Hm, it is defenitley possible, but I don't know if there is a way with CDBXPP. You should better format the disc to UDF and then use the windows explorer.

Hi

Thanks for responding. UDF but CDBXP does not have it. Anyways explorer will as to overwrite and I will have to yes no for all and imagine when I want to do increamental backups, no way. This checking for changes can be done when the files are dragged into the write area of CDBXP.

Just drag and drop the new files to explorer (as you would do in CDBXPP, eg. one special folder) then click "Yes for all". That's no hard work.

That's a good idea for future, as far as I can remember Nero has a similar function.
