Error Flushing Write Cache (HP Server)

Recommended Posts

Guest Stef

Hi,

I have a modern HP server running Windows 2003. The DVD drive installed identifies itself as HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L SCSI CdRom Device.

I just tried my first backup with a DVD+R disk (2.3GB file) the process all seemed to work fine (16x finalised) but at the last moment got "Burning Error has occured - Error flushing write cache - unknown error 0x0000D6".

Two questions:

1/ Is the disk likely to be corrupt (I didn't actually see the finalisation process)

2/ How should I proceed?

All help/thoughts much appreciated,

Many thanks,

Stef

Error occurs 1 second after "Writing lead out..."

Just tried another disk "Niceday" DVD+R same problem (unfortunately no other brands/types of DVD media available on-site at the moment)

Suggested next steps?

Thanks,

Stef
