Burn in single drive system under Bart's PE or XPE

Recommended Posts

Guest WEC777

It would be great to be able to burn a CD-R/RW using a single CD-R/RW drive system under Bart's PE or XPE. :wink:

I mean, these PE and XPE admin boot CD's are great, but if we can't recover data from a failing hard disk drive (HDD) to a non-volatile medium (CD-R/RW) when we don't have a network connection or second CDROM drive, what good are they? :(

Please make it work! :D

PS I have tried the following cdburnerxppro.cmd and it works right up to the point of removing the XPE CD and inserting a blank CDR, at which point it give all kinds of errors beginning with error 10006:

@echo off

rem -------------------------------------------------------------------------

rem cdburnerxppro.cmd - Script to start CDBurnerXPPro from WinPE

rem Created by WEC777

rem -------------------------------------------------------------------------

echo cdburnerxppro.CMD: Starting...

setlocal

if "%temp%" == "" goto _err

if exist "%temp%\cdburnerxppro\cdbxp.exe" goto _run

echo cdburnerxppro.CMD: Copying "%~dp0*.*" to "%temp%\cdburnerxppro\"

xcopy /s "%~dp0*.*" "%temp%\cdburnerxppro\"

:_run

%Systemdrive%

for %%i in (*.dll) do regsvr32 %%i /S

for %%i in (*.ocx) do regsvr32 %%i /S

regsvr32 %Systemroot%\system32\oleaut32.dll /s

start %temp%\cdburnerxppro\cdbxp.exe

goto _end

:_err

echo.

echo cdburnerxppro.CMD: No temp variable set...

echo cdburnerxppro.CMD: Try adding a ramdrive...

echo.

pause.

:_end

endlocal
