problem copying cds after cd burner installation

Recommended Posts

I wanted to try your free cd burner after an OS (Windows Xp Pro) reinstall.

I installed the software, but then noticed it cannot copy CDs.

So I installed Nero (the software I used to use before), but it couldn't write CDs (Unknown target error). I tried with alcohol 120%, but it couldn't burn no more.

I tried with Windows Xp: it couldn't burn.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall every software, but I had the same problem.

I'm wondering if it is a compatibility issue with Cd Burner and other burning software (a problem which is not worked around by unistalling Cd Burner).

I tried a new clean install of WindowsXpPro on an old defective HD with the same PC (laptop). I didn't install CD Burner, and Windows burner works properly.

So, is it a problem with CD burner uninstall?

Is there a way to resolve the problem (also on my brand new larger, non-defective, HD) without forcing me to reinstall Windows Xp once again?

Thank you.
