Burning wma files

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been having trouble burning wma files to audio CDs with CDBurnerXP Pro. I downloaded and installed WMFDist.exe, and then reinstalled CDBurnerXP, but it still doesn't work. I have Windows Media Player 10 on my computer. Can anyone help me so I can burn wma as well as MP3 files?

Hello corolla2...

I am having the same situation.

I have a trial version of "Plus MP3 Audio Converter LE.

To recover some disk space, (since WMA uses less space) my stupidity never ceases to amaze me, I converted ALL of my MP3's to WMA, and I am unable to burn WMA, and can't find a program to convert them back to MP3's.

Maybe someone will help us.

There may be some copywrite issues with Digital Rights Managment protection built into some files. But I'm using the trial version of a $25 program that seems to work pretty nicely:

http://www.litexmedia.com/wma_workshop/

It's called "Advanced WMA Workshop. The trial version will only batch up to 5 tunes at a time. For that reason I haven't tried it to see if it'd batch a bunch of subdirectories at a time, but, from the directories it creates, it looks like it will.

The trial version is only good for 15 days, so, IMO, they shouldn't limit its functions like that. Being able to batch multiple directories is a deal breaker for me, but I suppose I can go back and ask their support staff that question. Or maybe I could try 5 files from 5 different directory branches.

Seems like a nice enough team mate for CDBurner XP Pro.
