Incompatible CDR Drive?

Recommended Posts

Guest dfrandin

I'm trying to install/use CDBurnerXPPro 3.0.116 on a new Dell Inspiron 2200 laptop. The system has a CDRW/DVD drive, and is reported in WinXP control panel as a "HL-DT-ST CDRW/DVD GCC4244". The program install completes fine, but when trying to run the program, it reports "No compatible CDR drives detected, Some older drives are not supported".. I've tried searching the Dell support website to see what actual mfgr this drive is, but no joy, just Dell's internal part numbers are found. Anybody have any ideas??

Thanks in advance,

Dave Frandin
