burn speed nec 3520 A

Do you use 16x certified discs or discs allowing overspeed, eg. recommended discs? You must try some different discs or use recommended mediums. I have 3520A too and have no problem to burn at 16x, eg. with 8x certified Verbatim or TDK discs (TDK and Verbatim are recommended discs).

I also have 3520A, now tried to burn my first dvd-r 8x (TDK).. The strange thing that only 6x speed was offered for this 8x disc, even if i turn on the "override detected speed" options.

I also noticed a strange thing. I have NEC DV-5800C DVD-ROM, but I can't read back the disk in that, only in the writer (although i closed the disc). Do you have any idea? :)
