MP3 audio conversion question

Recommended Posts

I recently downloaded the latest version of CD Burner XP Pro and I was burning an audio CD at 52X according to the program but it took 30 minutes to burn 19 songs. My question is why is that? My source files were all MP3 is it because CD Burner XP Pro had to convert them on the fly while burning? Commercial programs would burn the same size CD from MP3 files in about 8 minutes. So, is something wrong with my computer or am I maybe missing some additional software that I should have downloaded with CD Burner XP Pro? I'm runnig Windows XP SP2. Any ideas?
