Can write data, but not audio

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just downloaded CDBurnerXP Pro v. 3.0.166. I'm having a weird problem. When I start a New Compilation, and choose "Data-CD/RW, Data-DVD/RW, Video-DVD...", the program seems to work fine. My drive (NEC ND-3520A) shows up on the top, and, as far as I can tell, I should be able to burn a data cd (havn't actually done it, I havn't needed to). However, on the New Compilation screen, if I choose "Audio CD", I get a "There are no compatible CDR drives reported. Some older CDR drives are not currently supported." Needless to say, the drive doesn't show up near the top, like it does with the data compilation, and I can't burn the cd.

It seems weird that the program would recognize the drive for data cd's, but not for audio. I've updated all my drivers/firmware/program, so I know that's not the problem. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

Is there nobody here that could help me? I'd be ok with a developer telling me that they don't know and that they're looking into the issue ;)
