data DVD problem

Recommended Posts

Guest Newone

Hi folks,

I have a toshiba DVD burner SD-R6012 (driver version 5.1.2535.0) under Win XP Pro SP1 and I tried to burn a DATA DVD-R (4.7Gb) with ~4Gb of files (programs and images).

I followed the standart procedure to burn the DVD, everything worked fine. But when I tried to read the DVD (using the same computer), the Win XP didn't recognized it, the DVD was classified as CD !!!

Someone could kindly analyse the possibles sources of this problem?

Thanks

I had the same problem, with a different jDVD burner. Tried changing the format from joliet to iso1 and it seemed to work fine. I was able to read it on 2 DVD's, however it shortened the file names, and added numbers to the files. I was able to read the files, but had no idea what the file was until I read it.

Any answeres someone?
