Administrator?

Recommended Posts

I newly installed CDBurnerXP in Win2K, and found that

only when I logon as administrator can my drive be recognized

by CDBurnerXP.

Logon with common user account just make it report that

no compatible drive is available.

what right should be assigned to a user?

OS: Windows 2000, SP4

drive: Pioneer DVD-RW K16, USB

HI !

I have the same problem. I tried to give rights on XP Burner Pro on the directory but it doesn't change anything. Power user won't work either.

As long as the user has administrator rights, the Plextor is recognized, as soon as it's simple user, the drive is said incompatible.

Strange...

It annoys me to give administrator rights to my users.

If anyone found a solution ...

Right.

The thing is, you forgot to mention that the choice is not given during MSI installation.

I'm sure that's something you can fix easily !
