CDBurnerXP Pro won't start!

Recommended Posts

Hello. Maybe someone here can help me. I have used CDBurnerXP Pro in the past with no problems. Recently, I upgraded my system (my mobo, CPU, and hard drive only- the CD drives are the same) and reinstalled WinXP Home. I installed the latest version of CDBurnerXP Pro, but it won't start! I double-click it and nothing happens. I check the task manager, and the process CDBXP.exe rarely if ever shows up because it disappears so fast. If it does appear, it immediately disappears.

Before you say 'reinstall the application' I have done that a thousand times. (well maybe not a thousand, but many many times). The program just refuses to run. I have never had this trouble before.

Any ideas, anyone? Does CDBurnerXP Pro require some dlls, updates, or runtimes that I am not aware of? Here are my specs:

AMD 3000+

Nvidia NForce 3 250 Motherboard

1 Gig Ram

1 X Sata Hard Disk Drive

2 X CD Drives, 1 DVD burner, 1 CD Burner.

XP Home Fresh install

Thanks for any help. I rarely post in discussions boards because I usually can fix problems myself, but this is driving me crazy.
