Create bootable ISO image for SUSE 10.1 Linux?

Recommended Posts

Okay, after reading here and elsewhere, I get how to burn an ISO image. Problem is that the 5-CD SUSE Linux install set I just copied from a friend were created by another person who didn't make the CD bootable. I can easily create an ISO image from this CD (Thank You, CDBurnerXP), but there is obviously one piece missing...a boot image.

So, given a "normal" CD full of SUSE install files, can I create a bootable ISO file? If so, I'm in luck, and if so, next question: what boot image would I use? While looking down under the "boot" subdirectory, the file "isolinux.bin" looks too small to be boot image... is the file named "linux" what I'm after?. One more question, the "Emulation Type" in CDBurnerXP just needs to be larger than the boot image *file*, right? (meaning Floppy-something will work) not bigger than the whole CD (meaning HardDisk mode).
