converting casset tapes to cds

Recommended Posts

It's not very complicated.

- you need a recording program e.g. Total Recorder (removed, use Audacity as free alternative)

- connect your cassettedeck to an amplifier.

-- connect the amplifier e.g. by the plug for earphones to your computer.

- or connect the tapedeck direct to your computer.

- make sure you can hear the music from the cassette (start -configuration - sound) through the speakers from your computer.

start total recorder or adobe audition and push the record button.

(read the manuals in advance if it doesn't work the first time. Maybe you have to change some options etc.)

-After recording you can cut the recordings in parts e.g. also with adobe audition. By the way it is possible that Nero has a free recording and editing audio program!! Try the internet.

- you can put these recordings as normal audio recordings on a cd or dvd.
