Splitting large soundfile into several CDA files

Recommended Posts

Question:

If I have a large sound file (mp3 or whatever), that consists of several tunes, is there a way to provide a file to the burner (an ISO or whatever) that instructs the burner to split the file into several CDA files at burn time?

Background:

I've built a freeware MP3 mixer and got about 30 downloads a day. My users mix their music "live" (so to say) into one large soundfile. When they burn this file they of course like it to be split up into a sparate CDA files for each trak. Now, I would easily be able to create a file containing info for the burner how the files should be split. Question is, is there a standard of some sort for this? If there is, would CDBurner be able handle this?

Any help HIGHLY appreciated!
