updating intel AHCI fixes no compatible drives

Recommended Posts

Guest ron

my SH-S223Q did not show up in latest version of cdburnerxp, I updated the Intel AHCI driver and that fixed it!

go to intel download center: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

product family = chipsets, product line = chipset software, product name = Intel Rapid Storage Technology (6)

download type = drivers,

get the latest, will be an iata_enu_version.exe. Install and reboot, I had to reboot twice.

Cdburnerxp then recognized my optical drive.

I had updated firmware on the drive from SB00 to SB03 which did not help.

running an asus x58d-e motherboard which AHCI turned on for everything.
