Stuck on "closing"

How long should it take to "close" a disk?

I am trying to burn data files to a DVD+R. I selected "session at once".

The burning seemed to proceed normally, but now the "closing" seems to be going on forever. It took 22 minutes to burn the files, and 15 minutes later it is still "closing".
