Burning and leaving disk open for additional files

Recommended Posts

Guest newbie12345

Hi,

I am running CDburnerXP on a windows 2000 pro platform.

The burner is a Sony dvd burner

When I select to write to a CD-R disk so as to leave the disk open for future additions the disk nonetheless is finalized as to not let one add any more files.

On some occasions if i use the advanced settings and uncheck finalize it will let me add further files, however after a second burning session the disk is finalized regardless of what settings were selected.

anyone else have the same experience?

If you are trying to burn an audio CD, leaving it open is not possible at the moment.

This is the way, to burn a disk and leave it Open. If you have chosen something else the disk will be automatically closed.

after a second burning session the disk is finalized regardless of what settings were selected.

Try Import session from the menu Disk and then add the files to your compilation. When you are done, burn the disk with advanced settings and unchecked finalize option. If this doesn't work then there is problem/bug.
