The need of .NET Runtime Optimization Service?

Recommended Posts

Guest LeoniAquila

To use CDBXP, I had to install .NET Framework (version 2.0). This also installed the service .NET Runtime Optimization Service. Is this service necessary to use CDBXP? I've tried to disable this service: CDBXP still starts. I have no discs to burn currently, so I can't try that. Does anyone know if it's possible to leave this service off? (I disable as many services and processes as possible since I use very few functions in Windows XP. I am a freak of optimization. ;))

Grateful for any advice,
