Burn AVI to DVD-RW

Recommended Posts

Guest Michael1975

Hello,

my brandnew DVD Player is able to play *.avi movies and accepts the following type of DVD-RWs:

-Disc have to be UDF Bridge (UDF 1.02/ISO9660)

-The Data on the disc must NOT be written in "Packet Writing" mode

-Disc must NOT be multi session

What I do: I format the disc completey in UDF/9660 and burn the avi data "disc-at-once".

My DVD Player finds the data, but does not play it. => Error

My Question:

If the DVD player finds the data but does not play it, is it possible that I use the wrong file system?

How can I format the disc according to the DVD players specifications?

Thank you.

Michael, Hamburg

The avi file is likely encoded in a codec that your player doesn't support, or with an option it isn't compatible with. Re-encode it to one it can play.
