Getting Started---cannot "Burn"

Recommended Posts

I am new member and am trying to burn data on to CD but keep getting a failure signal. It states that Device Not Selected.

But, when I select Device Information at top line, it shows my exact device as : Selected. My cd/dvd recorder is a Lite-On LTN 486S 48x Max . Also, I notice that the device icon (located in the center of the page just above the selected items to be burned) is in "gray scale" also indicating to me that my cd/dvd recorder is not getting recognized by this program.

I cannot burn. Can anyone help me solve my problem? The software looks good and easy to use once I am able to get this problem solved.

Thank you.

Roy

Perhaps a permission problem? Are you working with an "administrator" account?

TY for your reply.

Yes, I think I am working with an administrator account because when I first downloaded, I saw an administrator's name mentioned: FLO. But, as of yet, I still cannot "Burn". I have a "Gray" out in the No Compatible Drive block near the center of the page.

Whenever I try to burn after selecting the files and bringing them to the "Burn" section, I select BURN, get another page asking to close or continue, and when I selct the action I get the following:

Did Not Select a Burning Device.

I don't know what to do. If I can't get this problem solved, I will have to delete this program and buy a burner at CompUSA.
