How to install a new language?

Recommended Posts

Hi! You don't install the .resx file, for it is used to create the actual translation file. The file is an xml text file, under unicode format, and http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html is an editor capable of that.

You want to install a new language, or update an existing one?

(If the later is the case, you should consider, that the resx files available contain new strings, for the new versions and have discarded some strings not used any more. Anyway if you want to procced, contact the team of the language you want to provide you with the actual file.)

If you are translating contact the programmers team, for more.

Thanks for reply!

I might have expressed myself wrongly but my problem is, that I would like to use danish language and thought that by downloading strings.da-DK.resx and put that file somwhere in the library I could get danish language in CDburnerXP ! But no luck.......so hence my question, because I could find no info anywhere else.

Ok... You are lucky!

In the danish translation topic http://forum.cdburnerxp.se/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5935 they have uploaded what you need:

What you need to do:

1.Download it.

2.Go to the installation folder of CDBurnerXP and create a folder named da-DK.

3.Copy the file above into the folder.

4.Start the program and find the menu File->Options. Select the language Danish.

A small warning though. The file might be for the later beta version and thus might not have all the fields. Meaning that there where the strings have changed, or have been removed, you will not see any text.

Good luck and Enjoy
