Huge 2-3 minute silence after many songs?

Recommended Posts

So everything works and I really like this program. I made my first CD with it and I was listening to it, only to find that about 5 of my 18 tracks have an extra 2-3 minutes of dead silence at the end of them. What's going on here? How do I fix this?

This is a known bug concerning MP3s encoded with VBR aka Variable BitRate. Try to re-encode your MP3s before writing them to a Disc, for the time being. (Don't keep that afterwards, you might loose a little quality on them)

Thanks for that valuable info. So now I guess I have to find out how and where I can convert the bitrate of these mp3s?

Argh, damn. And I already burnt another disc to see if it would happen again. It did, of course. hehe.

Wrong. Decode the MP3s to WAV and burn WAV. No loss in quality!
