Guest eaurouge Report Share Posted August 1, 2008 When I burn a data DVD, I get a high CPU usage of around 60% when burning at 4x speed. My PC is a Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz (E8400), Intel Chipset G33 and a Liteon Sata DVD-RW, running XP. Is this high CPU usage normal? I remember a few years back (it's that long since I burned DVDs) that the CPU usage was very low when burning. I had a some trouble initially setting up the PC because it has all SATA drives and I had to enable IDE emulation in the motherboard's BIOS just for XP to recognize the harddrive. Might that be related? Thanks
