Burning DVD with Command Line Example

Recommended Posts

I would like to burn a DVD with a command line. I searched the forum and could not find an example of how to burn a directory of files onto a DVD with a command line. If I have a directory c:\files, how do a burn the whole directory onto a DVD with a command line? Please post the how to do it and the syntax.

Dave

Hi Floele, I am in the same boat as the user above... I have read the page in question but I am just not seeing something as getting errors all the time...

Would you have time to look at my syntax.... ?

Im not sure how to apply [\] ? and also how to separate multiple files, with a space? and do I need to enclose file paths in strings ?

Thanks Alan.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\CDBurnerXP\cdbxpcmd.exe" --burn-data -device:0 file[\]:D:\Prj_Spraoi.zip -name:Backup -close

You're missing a "-" before file. [\] would result in the files being added to the root folder of the discs. For multiple files, just add further "-file" arguments (all separated with spaces). Paths need to be enclosed in quotation marks if they contain spaces.
