Guest Miercaky Report Share Posted July 31, 2004 I'm thinking of getting a cd dvd combo burner. My cd rom will play dvd's and I also have a cd burner. I want to be able to burn video dvd's. I would also like to be able to burn from a vcr onto a dvd, if that's possible? Will this program do this ? Or should I buy the combo burner?

I would also like to be able to burn from a vcr onto a dvd, if that's possible? This is possible, but of course not directly. At first, you have to get the VHS somehow onto your PC. I personally whould do this with the help of a digital camera (first record VHS on camera, then connect digicam with PC and transfer the recorded vhs). After that you can encode your video to the right format (see helpfile for more information). Will this program do this ? Or should I buy the combo burner? The combo-burner has nothing to do with that. Of course, if you want to burn your videos on DVD you need a DVD burner, but if you only want to burn VCD/SVCD you only need a CD burner. The current version of CDBXPP can't burn real SVCDs but should be able to burn Video-DVDs.
