To Two or Three; that is the question

Hi,

I’ve just done a clean install of 98SE on an old Dell 550 mHz. There was no software supplied with this unit so I have been “searching” for drivers and stuff.

After looking at many burner apps, this seems to be THE one to use. However, I do have a question about which version to load. My burning requirements are minimal; just copying CDs and burning files. Which version would be the safer one? I am by no means a power user and need to keep it as simple as possible.

Maybe XPPro is an over-kill for my needs?

Thanks,

Cliff

Well, I installed v3 and one of the first things I read was

“is intended for NT, W2K, XP. It should work on 98”.

Not an encouraging sign for a novice such as myself.

One of the main reasons I need a burner is to make those “backup” copies of my apps. Seems the 1:1 burn feature is hard to find in freeware. This really looks like a great program, but it doesn’t meet my limited needs.

Good Luck

Well, at first it 100% works in Win98/ME. This sentence will be removed in next homepage update (final version). 1:1 copy is not hard to find, however, it is a rare feature.
