Error with audio CD

Recommended Posts

Guest abednego

Just tried burning an Audio CD ... dragged a few songs over, hit burn, CdBurnerXP said the burn was successful ... but my car CD player was unable to recognize the disk. I put the CD back in my computer tray, and windows just sees it as an empty disk with no files on it.

I click on "Disk information" and pasted a screenshot - and CDBurnerXp is able to see the audio tracks... but they're unplayable.

Anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure what the issue could be, as I just re-installed Windows a few months ago. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. And yes, I created an audio compilation. I just opened up the program for a 2nd time and quickly clicked on something... so I could bring up Disk Information.

Ok, which format is it? If MP3, you might want to try the workaround (see bass.dll / Bugs forum), if WMA you might want to try updating the Windows Media Player. And make sure that you are using the latest version.
