Burning large files (>4GB?)

Recommended Posts

It seems there's a problem burning large files. I'm trying to burn an 11GB file and a 5GB file to a BD-RE but it takes ages, and while burning, it reports several thousands of minutes left. When it finally finishes, the 11GB file was only 2.x GB.

If I divide the large file into smaller 700MB chunks, it burns ok, but the 5GB file still acts up. Haven't waited for that to finish though, 85 minutes to go...

It might be a 4GB limit in the code somewhere. If so, it should hopefully be fairly easily fixed.

Edit: Yes, the 5GB file was originally 5 788 237 917 bytes, but after burning it, it was only 1 493 270 621 bytes. The difference is exactly 4GB so it's almost certainly a case of 32 bit overflow.
