Multisession problem

Recommended Posts

I'm having a problem with multisession and cannot access any of the files after adding new files and then finalizing session. I have \DCIM\FUJI_100\*.jpg with my pictures on it. I burned the first session to the picture folder and it's ok but when I added the remaining pictures to the picture folder and finalize session I can no longer access any of the pictures and the DCIM folder is now empty. I imported the previous session and deleted the DCIM folder and then re-added it and then burned the new session and it now works but If I try to add just the remaining file and then burn it again I may have the same issue. Can you get the multisession bug fixed.

I am also having problems with multi-session disks. Sometimes CDBurnerXP will empty the disk except for the single (empty) directory at the top-level. Sometimes it even fails to read the old session at all, going into a seemingly infinite loop.

Oh, and a suggestion. I'm using CDBurnerXP (or would, if it would work) to update (backup) a directory on a DVD. Of all the free burning software I've tried, it's the only one that at least lets me choose to not just overwrite already existing file on the disk. But it would be nice to have, instead of just "Yes/No" and "Yes/No To All" options, a "Yes to Changed" option to only rewrite those files on the disk that have changed. A simple date/size based check should suffice for my needs (as md5sums etc. are too slow on a DVD).
