Problems with shutdown after burning

Recommended Posts

Guest F98

Hi,

I'm using CBXP 4.2.6.1706 on WinXP.

I selected "shutdown computer after completion", "eject disc after burning", "verify data after burning".

So CBXP burns the disc, verifys the data, ejects the disc an shuts down.

When I switch on the computer the next day, WinXP starts with a big error screen "Windows - data lost after writing". Clicking on this message starts Windows normally but CBXP run too with the active burning window and the Message-Box, that CBXp has burned the media succesfully.

So I guess, the shutdown procedere hasn't done properly.

Regards, F98

... after searching my posting inside the "bugs"-section ... :?

anyway ...

So if I select CBXP to "shutdown" I want to shutdown, not to suspend the system. Furter it seems to cause an error with the filesystem: "Windows - data lost after writing".

I believe what matters is that the power is off. Suspending makes sure that you do not loose any data, because everything is saved to memory. If you see such messages though, it might be that some devices do not support hibernation, but that's nothing I can do anything about.

The data has been written to the optical media, so whats the advantage of suspending the system after burning?
