Burn Audio-CD as ISO-Image

Recommended Posts

Guest Guest

Hi there,

i'm just wondering if it is possible to burn/write a Audio-CD-Compilation as an iso-image to my harddisk.

I'm used to the NERO-Application and there i can choose (amongst my normal CD-Drives) "burn as image".

The resulting Image is -.nrg, but nonetheless it is not VERY different from iso. Right?

I would like to kick the Nero-Thing off my system, but this function is essential to me.

Any help/ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Carsten

Audio CDs do not have an ISO file system structure, so they cannot be saved as ISO files.

Sorry, old Thread! But why I can create an image (iso!!!) of an Audio-CD with this prog but don't from an audio-compilation. This doesn't make sence and is a absurd restriction. With Nero and nearly all of the other burning progs you can create an Audio-CD-Image of an compilation. This iso I can insert with Daemon and play as an Audio-CD. Please explain me why this isn't possible. Otherwise the prog rocks but thats a really dumb thing!
