I have now decided the network adapters are a red herring as I get 'a crash' without the long string of mini adapters. It also crashes whether or not I'm connected to the internet.

Some days are fine and then another day it'll crash after 5 or so minutes. It reboots normally OK and then either crashes again or is fine for the rest of the day -- there's no pattern or logic to it.

When it crashes it goes to a blue screen, says it's found a problem and is doing a system dump to protect the computer (I'll try and note the exact words next time it happens.)

It reboots to normal mode without a problem (until the next time).
