Program burns hidden files sometimes and somtimes not

Recommended Posts

I am running version 4 of CDBurnerXP. I am burning backups of my operating system files to spanning DVD sets. While I occasionally have problems getting the blank DVDs to be accepted by the DVD burner, I usually get around this by waiting patiently for the program to test the discs. MY QUESTION IS ...

Why is it that sometimes my backup DVDs will contain the hidden type files that I have backed up and sometimes it won't?

Hope to hear from you soon!

CDBurnerXP shouldn't do that. Whether or not hidden files are displayed in the browser depends on the Windows Explorer setting, but if you add a folder that contains hidden files, these will always be burned to disc. I am not aware of any issues with burning hidden files.

Thanks for the info about hidden files being handled by CDBurnerXP. I'm probably doing something wrong.

Well, I can't guarantee that there is no error in CDBurnerXP, so feel free to have a close look at the exact behaviour, maybe you find certain conditions under which there is a problem.
