Windows position not saved

Recommended Posts

Guest Tak

I'm using CDB 4.2.7 under Win7 (64bit), and its Window and splitter positions aren't saved, which is highly annoying. Maximising the Window again is no big deal, but the splitters are so messed up, and having to resize all 3 each time is a real show stopper for CDB. What might the cause be for this?

Window positions are saved in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Canneverbe Limited\CDBurnerXP. If they are missing there, you do not have proper rights to write to the Windows registry, which should be fixed on your side.

Spliter positions are saved differently at %appdata%\Canneverbe_Limited. Try to delete this folder and then check if it works properly.

Administrative account, so that's not the problem. The keys also appear (even after deleting them), so that can't be the problem. I suppose that frmDataCompilation is the "main" window, and that one only saves the windows state (value is 2), but no size. It seems that CDB can't properly save/load a maximized window state. When I don't maximize it (which I hate), size and position (of both the window and its splitters) are saved and restored properly.

So this is a bug on your side, and you should move this thread back to bugs again. Shouldn't be hard to fix this I'd say.

The size does not need to be saved, the state is enough. Maybe I have found a cause for your problem, please check if it's fixed in the next release.
